Doreen specializes in Swedish, deep tissue, shiatsu, body enlightenment, Thai, Hot Stone, prenatal, Jamu and sports massage and can adapt these disciplines to a massage table or matted floor.  She takes pride in her craft and she continues to master it by honing her skills and broadening her knowledge of massage techniques. 

Doreen believes the key to a successful massage is a thorough assessment of the clients needs.  Massage can play an important role in easing pain by implementing a sense of balance and well-being in a person’s life.  Listening with her hands, caring about the outcome of the session, and being totally present, Doreen believes each massage becomes a unique experience.

After pursuing a degree in Anthropology the State University of New York in Albany, Doreen returned to New York City and enrolled at both Marymount Manhattan College, where she completed an undergraduate degree in Speech-Language and Hearing Pathology, and also the Swedish Institute, where she completed an Associates Degree of Occupational Arts in Massage Therapy. 

Since then, Doreen and her caring hands have worked their magic at Equinox and Exhale Spa NYC.  Presently she flexes her fingers at Glow Skin Spa and InterContinental Barclay’s Hotel.  In addition, she has volunteered for New Alternatives for Children and also attends to private clients. 

She is very happy to be part of the Glow Skin Spa family and looks forward to an exciting future with the Glow team!
