Jaime began her career as a Theatrical Makeup Artist,
traveling internationally with shows such as "Rent"
and working for various Opera Companies including The
Connecticut Opera and The Boston Symphony Orchestra.
Her interest in food and lifestyle and how we tend to
manifest our stresses physically, led her to The Kushi
Institute where she began studying macrobiotics.
While working with actors and singers of all ages
Jaime began noticing how their individual lifestyles
were affecting their skin. She came to realize that,
"Our skin is the largest organ of our body. It
functions as our first line of defense from our
enviroment and often times physical imbalances will
show up on our skin as a warning that we need to pay
more attention to how we are living our lives and
treating ourselves. It is fascinating how resilent
yet how delicate our skin actually is and how much our
skin can tell us about what is happening inside our
bodies."
Jaime's realization that there is a significant
connection between our overall health and the look of
our skin changed the way she felt about her work. She was
determined to help her clients both improve and
prevent the conditions she was seeing on their faces,
so she began studying esthetics at Atelier Esthetique in New York City
and rest is history.
As an esthetician, Jaime aids the skin in its own natural
process of detoxification along with providing a
nurturing, holistic experience for her clients. Using facials as
a tool to address specific concerns, Jaime educates her clients to
care for their skin at home, so that their Glow experience continues
beyond the time she spends with them. After each treatment, clients
leave Glow feeling as though their tensions have melted away.
