After
graduating with a Fine Art degree
from the University
of
Arizona in 1993,
Connecticut born
Jillian Wright
contemplated moving
to San Francisco
to become a
chef
or move to Hawaii
for a
year
to
just….....be.
It was an
easy
decision:
Hawaii. The luscious
memories
of gardenia-filled
pathways
and black
sand
stuck
between her toes was
a
prelude
to what life was
about
to
become. But there
was a minor
detour. After
one year by the
ocean,
it was back
to the desert
but
this one
was
filled with millions
of lights.
Vegas
or bust!
Jillian opened an
espresso
café
called
Something’s
Brewing
which
catered to a
spa
next door.
The spa
was
much more appealing then
frothing milk for lattes and making
iced mocchacinos.
Jillian found herself wrapped in chocolate and
caffeine rather than drinking it. She decided that
showgirls and half-caf cappuccinos with cinnamon
and nutmeg weren't her thing so she sold her espresso
café in 1997 and moved to New York. Jillian
discovered her love of pampering extended well
beyond her addiction to soaps, bubbles, crèmes
and cleansers. She turned her skincare passion
into two thriving businesses.
In 1999, Jillian launched Spacadet.com and
Glow
Skin Spa. Her boundless energy and enthusiasm
laid a solid foundation to both businesses.
Jillian's commitment to serve her clients and
internet
customers goes well beyond the "norm." She
never wanted an assembly
line spa.
Glow
Skin Spa would be a cozy, boutique-like environment
with aestheticians people know and trust. After
five years, loyalty is the backbone of
Glow.
Jillian’s
commitment to funky, fresh and fabulous beauty
on the net and
Glow
Skin Spa, has
caught the attention of the media. Daily Candy,
In Style, Time Out New York, Marie Claire, YM,
WWD, The Daily News, XXL, The NY Post, Glamour,
Teen People, Redbook, The Howard Stern Show,
the WB Morning News, Dutch magazine, and countless
others have all recognized Jillian’s dedication
to her customers and their skin. She also did a
show for the Biography channel called "Star
Treatments" where Catherine Hickland and
Gabriel Byrne raved about Jillian's talents on
camera!
Not only has the media published numerous tips,
quotes and professional advice from Jillian,
but many celebrities enjoy Jillian's talents
as well. Alicia Silverstone, Tea Leone, Catherine
Hickland, Michael E. Knight, Gabriel Byrne, Heather
Graham, Ivana Trump, and others whose anonymity will be honored
have frequented
Glow
Skin Spa.
Jillian's commitment to skincare is evident in
her enthusiasm and attitude. Jillian and her
staff are constantly educating themselves for
one reason only: to bring the highest quality
aesthetics to their clients.
